“Do We Lie with Maps? We Do, and We Have No Choice” by Boris Michev
||Boris Michev is the Map & Geospatial Information Librarian in the Department of Research & Learning Services at Cornell University’s Olin/Uris Libraries. He is the subject specialist for Cartography, Geography, and Urban Studies and provides reference and instruction in these areas. He strives to introduce GIS to audiences typically unfamiliar with the possibilities in their fields. Michev is also the library liaison to the Department of City and Regional Planning.
Originally from Bulgaria, Boris Michev and his family moved to the United States in 1992 and settled down in Ithaca. He began his career at Cornell in 1993. Michev is fascinated by cartography – both its past and the opportunities the new mapping technologies offer for its future.
Friday, October 31 – Talkback Night
Join us for a post-show discussion with the actors and director, facilitated by Lee Rayburn of WHCU Radio.
